It's not quite Thanksgiving day over here, but I am thankful for the people who love me.
I spent this weekend with beloved moominmuppet. It was icky rainy weather outside and we both weren't feeling terribly wonderful, so we spent most of the time indoors happily watching films. We saw the special features on V for Vendetta, and a four-hour documentary on the history of heavy metal music (I learned a whole lot), and The High Cost of Low Price. Later, Sarah's friend Di turned up, and we walked around a bit; we went to a bazaar in a gallery, where I found some things to take home to firinel and riordon. It was so good to see Sarah again! (And the dogs made me very welcome, too.) Later we had tea with bec76 and zodarzone.
On the way home, someone sat opposite me reading a magazine article titled, "Is Time Better Understood As A Connected Series Of Boats Floating On A Single Sea?" The photograph at the head of the article was of punts chained together on the Cam.
I asked work for a whole lot of laptop batteries so I could get lots done, but actually I finished what they were asking me to do before we reached Harrisburg. After that, I didn't have any more work stuff to do, but I looked through metacity and fixed some FIXMEs.
Meanwhile, sometime late last week I seem to have become infected with staph again. I don't know how it came back. I went to the doctor this morning, who gave me more antibiotics.
