Yes (as is "owl"), but I didn't invent the joke of reading tl;dr as teal deer-- google it.

I had a British music teacher in elementary school who was teaching us syllables. We got hung up for awhile on the fact that no one agreed with her that "squirrel" is two entirely distinct ones.
